Aims and scope
Artery Research is the official journal of the Association for Research into Arterial Structure and Physiology (ARTERY) which promotes the advancement of knowledge and dissemination of information concerning the pathophysiology, epidemiology, detection, investigation and treatment of arterial structure and function. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, perspectives, case-studies, letters to the Editor, short communications and images. All submitted material is subject to a strict peer-review process.
Society Affiliations
Artery Research is the official journal of the Association for Research into Arterial Structure and Physiology (ARTERY). Authors from ARTERY are entitled to a discounted article-processing charge which is payable upon editorial acceptance of their manuscript for publication. To facilitate this, ARTERY members should indicate their membership (in payment option number 3) when submitting a manuscript.
Prof. John Cockcroft, Editor-in-Chief
Professor Cockcroft is visiting Professor in the Dept of Advanced Cardiology at Columbia University Medical Centre, New York where he is researching haemodynamics in patients with left ventricular assist devices (LVAD’s) in terms of the vascular complications seen in this group in order to improve their cardiovascular outcomes. Most recently he has an interest in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the better management of hypertension. He was the inaugural president of the ARTERY society and sits on the Executive Committee. He has published over 350 peer-reviewed articles and 3 books in the field of hypertension and cardiovascular disease. He is currently on the Editorial Board of Current Hypertension Reports
